We are one of the oldest competitions in the state of Alabama with participants from all over the Southeast!

BAND CLASSIFICATION:
Class A = 1-25 Winds
Class AA = 26-45 Winds
Class AAA = 46-65 Winds
Class AAAA = 66-95 Winds
Class AAAAA = 96+ Winds
*Please understand that the number of WIND PLAYERS for each group will be counted as your band ENTERS and EXITS the field. If you register as an A Band, but have over 25 wind players upon entering the field, you will be judged in the appropriate class for the number of WIND PLAYERS that you have ON THE DAY OF THE CONTEST. Bands who wish to willingly move up a class may do so, but no Band will be allowed to move down a class or remain in a class where they are OVER the limit of wind players. There will be no exceptions to this rule.
TYPE OF SHOW:
You may do any type of show you wish. YOU WILL BE JUDGED ON HOW WELL YOU DO WHAT YOU DO. Our adjudicators will provide quality feedback/suggestions to further enhance your show for future performances. The CHHS Band Boosters will provide assistance and transportation for your pit/front ensemble equipment. The Veteran's Memorial Football Stadium is a standard college football field. Sideline markers and hash markers will be very visible. Please note that there are COLLEGE HASHES as well as high schools hash marks. Electric power is available on the field level. Please let us know below if you need this service.
UNITS TO BE JUDGED:
Band, Drum Major, Majorettes, Dance, Color Guard, and Percussion.
You may select "Comments ONLY" in any or all areas. Bands will be scheduled from smallest to largest winds in each class. There will be special requests made available to bands that may have other engagements that day (Homecoming dance, parades, etc.). Please note that there can be NO fire baton, or mace stuck into ground.

There will be ratings of I, II, and III in each category. You will also receive a numerical score. Trophies will be awarded to all Division I Bands, and all Division I Drum Majors, Majorettes, Dance, Color guard, and Percussion.

Division II = 70 - 84.9
Division III = 55 - 69.9

The Richard Beasley Machine Award- Awarded to the highest scoring group of the day.
The John M. Long Most Entertaining Award
The Guard Master Award- Awarded to the highest scoring Color Guard of the day.
The Baton of Excellence Award- Awarded to the highest scoring Majorettes of the day.
The Best Soloist Award- Awarded by the adjudicators.
The Fan Favorite Award- Awarded to the band with the most money in their jar as determined by the fans.
GUIDES:
Members of the Charles Henderson High School Band Program will guide you through every step of our contest, from the time you arrive, to warm-up, to loading your equipment, and being seated in the stadium.
CHANGING AREA:
Changing Areas will be readily available for your band once you arrive at our contest. Band Guides will assist you!
HOSPITALITY AREA:
The hospitality area will be on the 4th floor of the stadium towers with special armbands/badges to grant access to this area. Directors, Assistant Directors, Auxiliary Unit Staff/Sponsors, and Percussion Staff/Sponsors will be the only people allowed in this area.
ANNOUNCEMENT FORM:
After submitting your registration form, you will be prompted to follow a link to submit for day-of announcements. This form cannot be altered once submitted. Your guide will have a blank announcement form in case any changes need to be made upon your arrival.
